  3. Apple Watch: Learner Alerts & Actor Cues

Bedside Coach · For faculty and students

An alert and a cue

The watch can show the learner a quiet case update, and the phone can send the actor a silent cue so the learner never hears a stage direction. They connect nearby. Acknowledging an alert means the learner saw it. The care itself still happens in the scenario.

Why this is special

A critical result can reach the wrist without a loud announcement. The buttons on the phone cue the actor silently, so the learner's conversation is not interrupted by a spoken stage direction.

What the app is doing

The watch says the potassium is critical. The phone offers Proceed, Wait, Escalate, and Tone down.

Arrow keys or a sideways swipe move between scenes. Fictional practice only.
