Your Privacy Matters
Bedside Coach Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 14, 2026
Bedside Coach is developed by Brandon Dominguez in California, United States.
This policy explains what information the app processes, where it is stored,
and the choices available to you.
Information the developer collects
Bedside Coach does not operate an advertising, analytics, or user-profile
service. The developer does not receive your simulations, recordings,
transcripts, custom cases, health information, identifiers, or usage history.
The app does not sell personal information or use third-party advertising or
tracking SDKs.
Apple may process App Store purchases, subscription status, crash information,
or speech-recognition requests under Apple's own terms and privacy policies.
Bedside Coach receives only the purchase and entitlement information needed to
unlock features.
Information processed and stored on your device
The app can create and store the following information locally when you use the
corresponding features:
- simulation progress, scores, transcripts, notes, and coaching reports;
- custom cases and simulated patient demographics entered by you;
- microphone audio and speech transcripts used during simulations;
- Debrief Coaching recordings, transcripts, speaker timing, and reports; and
- settings, tutorial progress, and subscription-entitlement state.
These items are app data on your device. They are not collected by or sent to
the developer. Device protections such as your passcode, encryption, backups,
and operating-system access controls help protect them.
Microphone audio and speech recognition
Bedside Coach requests microphone access only for features that need spoken
interaction or recording.
For Debrief Coaching, the app records room audio after you start a debrief. You
must inform everyone in the room and obtain any consent required by your school,
employer, or local law. Raw audio is deleted after local analysis unless you
turn on Keep raw audio for timestamp playback. Retained audio and generated
reports remain on the device until you delete the recording or remove the app.
Speech recognition is performed on device when supported. If on-device speech
recognition is unavailable for the selected language or device, Apple's speech
recognition service may process audio according to Apple's privacy terms.
Custom cases and health information
Bedside Coach is a simulation and education tool. Do not enter real patient
information, protected health information, or other confidential clinical data.
Use fictional or properly deidentified information only. The app warns before
exporting or sharing case data and provides a deidentified Student Safe export.
Sharing you initiate
The app does not automatically upload your data. You may choose to export or
share a case, QR code, result package, report, calibration file, or retained
audio through system features such as AirDrop, Files, the share sheet, local
network sessions, or Bluetooth. Information you share leaves the app and is
then governed by the recipient and the service you selected. Review exported
content before sharing it.
Permissions
Depending on the features you choose, Bedside Coach may request access to the
microphone, speech recognition, camera, photo library, Bluetooth, local network,
or spatial/world sensing. These permissions support simulation interactions,
case QR codes, nearby practice sessions, Apple Watch cues, and Apple Vision Pro
placement. You can change permission access in system Settings.
Data deletion
You can delete custom cases, recordings, reports, and history from their
corresponding screens in the app. Deleting the app removes its locally stored
data, subject to device backups and files you previously exported. Files shared
to another app, device, or person must be deleted from that destination
separately.
Children
Bedside Coach is intended for nursing students and educators and is not directed
to children under 13. The developer does not knowingly collect children's
personal information.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when app behavior or legal requirements change. The
current version and effective date will be posted at
